Hello!

I am an old soul. I love everything old…especially old manners!

Retail and vintage are in my blood.

My grandpa had a store in South Chicago. My mom and my older sisters would take me to garage sales…back in the day when it was not hip (smile). I’ve always enjoyed shopping at unique stores and supporting small businesses.

My parents had a concession business to supplement their income. The family would sell popcorn, cotton candy, sno-cones, and more at local festivals, football games, and events.
I was employed as a makeup artist at Marshall Fields on State Street in Chicago, worked as a bartender at Raymundo’s family restaurant (El Taco Real), was the firm administrator at a local certified public accounting firm, and now I have my dream job (a.k.a. store owner) along with helping Raymundo develop a new restaurant/entertainment/catering venue in Downtown Hammond (EAT).

My partner, Raymundo Garcia, and I love Downtown Hammond! Raymundo purchased 3 buildings in our Downtown and he is lovingly restoring them!
Downtown Hammond is where my parents took their 8 children to shop. So for me, helping to revitalize our Downtown is very gratifying and rewarding.

We believe that it is up to each of us to help make our corner of the world a better place.
As a result, I currently serve on the Board of  South Shore Arts and the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra. In the past I have also served on the Board of Directors and volunteered on many not-for-profit boards including the Downtown Hammond Council, Munster Chamber of Commerce, and the Hammond Development Corporation.

My mantra is "be the change you wish you to see in the world".
